People who are interested only in the engine pay more money and get also the interface. I think that also for CB only users it is better to get shredder classic. They get the same engine that work under chessbase and as a bonus(relative to buying from chessbase) they do not get all the new bugs of chessbase becuase they do not need to update their interface in order to install it under chessbase and can use it as UCI engine.
