"What is actually the big problems with the CB interface? I never have any big
problems with it!
And by the way, you can not use UCI engines the "real" chessbase. (AT least not
in version 8) So if you use ChessBase for anything I would choose the CB
version.

Hello,
It depends on which version of update 24 you are talking about. I have
downloaded about 5 versions of the GUI from the Playchess.com site. I think the
latest one I had problems with keeping he replay arrows below the board after an
auto232 match. (They disappear) Also I could not keep the co-ordinates on the
board. Also when doing work in one database and then trying to change databases
I got an error message that the particular database could not be accessed. I
could only access it after trying another database. There are othe problems but
at the moment I'm not concerned with them since I don't use the "new" GUI
anymore.

And by the way, I don't know what you mean in your second paragraph about the
"UCI engines the "real" chessbasd." You can run the UCI engine in the Chessbase
GUI when you have a good GUI. ( I'm using the GUI from last April) The only
problem is you can't get Shredder UCI to use it's own book. You can still use
the Shredder8.ctg if you need a book. Of course you can play Shredder 8 UCI vs
any other engine via auto232 which requires two cpus.
Regards,
Jim
