Again *IF and only if* you have Linux experience maybe try it... Linux has been 64bit for I dont know how many years ... perhaps 5-10 dating back to Alpha or SGI. But Opteron support has been there for a while. Seems like Windows is crapping out, and since I'm a big crafty fan, I'd hate to see crafty lose because Windows, let alone a beta, crapped out to a blue screen of death during the tournament.. Besides you can always dual boot... If you're going to spend endless hours installing, heck install Linux (assuming you understand linux/un*x), and get it up and running as a backup, then spend the other hours installing WinXP 64. Whatever works...well..works. If you don't have experience, then I pray you can get all of the drivers working before CCT7 starts. My true hopes and chess prayers are with you. Sincerely, I dont care what OS you run, I just want Crafty to have a fair chance. Best luck to you. -Josh On February 12, 2005 at 02:21:06, Mike Byrne wrote: >I can't find 64 bit modem drivers .... it might be a wash out ....
