It had me pulling out my hair for quite awhile. Then I took the risk and bought mine from shredderchess.com, and am happy with the decision. One clarification: The UCI engine you get from shredderchess.com can be run in the CB Shredder8/Fritz8 GUI, which has a 'create UCI engine' operation. However it will not run in Chessbase 8, which doesn't provide for UCI engines. So if you need to run a Shredder 9 engine in Chessbase 8, you would need to buy CB's Shredder 9 package from a Chessbase vendor/distributor. WP
