I think we will just have to agree to disagree. The comments in the source
code's copyright are clear enough to me. I think I have read the same messages
that you have. I don't think that Dr. Hyatt has rescinded his rights. Even if
he does make some off-the-cuff remark, that in no way reduces his legal rights.
the code itself has a legal notice. Unless that notice is changed, there is no
change. I think perhaps the confusion we are having may be due to the way that
different countries consider these same issues.
I do agree with one point -- his objective was to be clear and open and help
other people learn.
However, I think we all now realize that his purpose can be perverted into
something bad.
Too bad.
