It's nice to hear someone is happy, and it's also well known that many chess programs are now really great, in very many ways, much much more than a few years ago. But how do you compare Shredder 9 to Shredder 8, or to 7.04? or to other top programs from the top 10 or so, or even the top 5? I am one of a few people here waiting exasperatedly for results to come through about Shredder 9. The past over 2 years, there has hardly been a program, which clearly outsmarts its recent predescessors, and Shredder 9 is still unclear if it does. It appears that it does not CRUSH its closest rivals, but it's still possible that it might be slightly a first among equals, slightly "more equal" than others. But I don't know. Are you answering that question for us? Or are you just comparing it to Tiger 12? S.Taylor
