There is something very strange happening here. First to be thorough, I went
back and did a 5 minute analysis in Chessbase gui, and Shredder first considers
Be8 and then very quickly goes back and forth between Be8 and Re6, until at
about 30 seconds deciding on Re6 for good. Here is the analysis after 5
minutes. Note that the number 1 is just the PV at the moment, not the first
move considered.

1. +- (4.63): 1.R1e6 Rb7 2.Rxd6 Qxc3 3.Rxb7 Bxb7 4.Rxb6 Bc8 5.Qd6 Qe5 6.Bh7+ Kf7
7.Rb7+ Bxb7 8.Qd7+ Qe7 9.Bg6+ Kxg6 10.Qxe7 Rf7 11.Qe8 d4 12.Nxd4 Bd5 13.Qc8 f5
14.Qe8
2. +- (1.89): 1.Be8 Rxe8

Now, for the strange part. Shredder 9 in the classic interface looks at no
other move other than Be8....I let it go the full 5 minutes, and here are the
results.

I would like to say that I've mainly used Shredder9 UCI in the Shredder8
interface...I don't know if this has any effect on the test. (I run the engine
on ICC under the hand "Under-Rated" in the Chessbase gui using Winboard to
connect.
