I knew this was going to happen straight away, when the DB team said if they would win, the machine would be dismantled, and even though I saw it coming, I am still not immuned from it, that I keep on imagining that DB might have been something extra-ordinary by todays standards too. But in truth, who knows!?, I really think that the machine which beat Kasparov would easily be beaten by the top comercial program of today on the fastest single proccessor hardware. Maybe even with the number 2 and 3 programs on the number 2 and 3 fastest hardware. That DB would be beaten QUITE easily in a series of tournament games. Atleast by a small margin. S.Taylor
