As I own Shredder 8, and it is leading the SSDF, I figure I can really do no harm by getting Fritz 9 over Shredder 9. Probably the only program I will get after that will be Hiarcs 10, then I will take a small break from the frenzy of program purchases. I am getting Chess Assistant 8 shortly, and I will be concentrating on opening selection for programs. This has always interested me, and I feel I have done all I can within the normal Chessbase interface. Chess Assistant will delve deeper and more constructively into what I would like to do. Peter
