In fact your able to use it in more interfaces. The problem is that you _don't_ get to use the proper book for it anywhere. With UCI it is supposed to be the "Universal" interface, yet the author of the standard limits the usage in his own engine. I just don't get it. Why even make an UCI version if your going to limit its feature outside the interface. Do you see Gandalf doing that? Ruffian? Of course not. You are able use the proper books in _any_ interface. Soon we might see a version that has limited 2mb hash tables outside the interface, and will only play 1.a4. If your going to limit it's play, you might as well go the whole way. Peter
