I guess that you mean that the result for a new program version played against it's predecessor somehow would differ from the results against all other programs. It would be possible to check this by temporary deleting results against older versions and see if/how the rating changes. We try to play all programs against roughly the same opposition. Stopping to play against earlier versions of the same program would change this principle.
