We have two new entries on the first list of 1999. Both
programs have entered above the former leader! The
difference between them is only one single point!
The natural conclusion is that Hiarcs 7.0 and Fritz 5.32
on P200 MMX are equally strong against other computers.

Hiarcs 7.0 P200 MMX is the new number one on SSDFs
rating list! After 352 tournament games it has a
rating of 2576! That is one point ahead of Fritz 5.32
and nine points more than Fritz 5.0 has. As it seems
right now, Mark Uniacke has managed to increase
the strength of his program with 52 points!

Frans Morschs latest program is Fritz 5.32 P200 MMX,
which has a rating of 2575! At the moment Fritz 5.32
has eight points more than Fritz 5.0. For the time
being it seems that the two programs are equally strong.
I would like to point out that Fritz 5.32 has a publicly
available autoplayer, that it has been played with
it's standard opening book and that 64MB of RAM has
been used...

Apart from Atlantas loss of nine points, there are
only minimal changes in the list compared to
the latest one from December 24.

Next list will appear in March. Our plans are
to include Nimzo 99 and Crafty until then.
