            Steve,
I agree with all your comments.
However on my best day, down hill with the wind behind me,
                  I am a 1700 player.And I like to play!
So for me a machine rated at 2000 elo is just fine.
Therefore I am looking for more levels, features and variety.

In the early 1900's I "almost" purchased the Excalibur
Legend just because it had many levels, features, variety etc.
See computer chess reports Vol 3 no.2 page 11.

Have you seen this unit? Have you played against it?
                  Any info appreciated.
