Junior 9 got wiped in this match because of bad book play as White. It repeated
lost openings ad nauseam e.g. the King's Indian 4 pawns attack, ending up in
this position in 6 games:

[D] r1brn1k1/p3ppbp/1pn3p1/2p1P3/2P2P2/2N1BN2/PP2B1PP/R3K2R w KQ - 2 12

It played Rd1 each time (which may be a blunder), and scored only 0.5/6 from
this position. Junior had been out of book for several moves getting to this
position, Shredder was in book all the way.

The other often repeated position was the following Richter Rauzer:

[D] r1bqk2r/1p2bpp1/p2ppn1p/8/3nP3/2N1BP2/PPPQ2PP/2KR1B1R w kq - 0 11

Junior played Qxd4 6 times and scored 1/6. Curiously Shredder got this once with
White and played Nxd4 and drew.

So this result is due to bad opening performance in particular circumstances by
Junior 9, and does not in any way reflect on Shredder 9 v Shredder 7.04 relative
strengths.
