Hi Ray yes it seems that the general consensus here is that most do not actually play against the PC Silicon monster,but they use it for analysis or as a tool to run matches etc. of course i have no objection to this but i wonder.. unlike you, most members here do not own a dedicated chess computer to play against,and as such if they are using the PC software for analysis or someother tool , then it seems to me that many are not even playing chess themselves this is perhaps a sad development in my opinion but i could be wrong and maybe many are playing in live OTB tournaments Best Regards Steve
