I do not see how not participating without thoroughly tested version can help the commercials to be better than the amateurs. Note that this rule is also not a golden professional rule and Junior particpated in the last CCT with an experimental version that was weaker than the public version and Shredder participated in WCCC with a version that was weaker than the public shredder because stefan accidentally deleted some code.
