Let's try. These are the professionals that I know of and that might reasonably
know about and possibly attend IPCC:

-> Shredder    - Playing
-> Junior      (Never attends)
-> Hiarcs      - Other reason
-> Fritz
-> ChessTiger
-> Hydra       - Playing
-> Diep        - Playing
-> Deep Sjeng - Other reason
-> Anaconda    - Playing
-> Gandalf     - Playing
-> The King    (Never attends)
-> Ruffian - Author is MIA

"Out of 8 commercial programs that I contacted regarding participating in the
CCT, only 3 of 7 that declined for reasons of getting ready for the IPCCC are
actually entered."

Leaving 4.

The King never plays in IPCC, so I don't see Johan using that as an excuse.
Junior and Amir - same. Fritz often enters but apparently not this year, so
Frans _could_ be one of the missing if he felt Fritz wasn't ready.

That still leaves at least 3, with only 1 program remaining.

I can't quite connect the dots here.
