The difference is that Shredder Classic GUI has more features for using the book. If you are comfortable using chessbase products then that's what I recommend. If you often use Arena or similiar for tournaments then I would get Shredder Classic. If you want to play engine matches online, Well I can't help you. It's not my cup tea. Tony
