thanks Dan - you're super-fast ;-) so here comes the "official" announcement: A new version of Jose Chess Database is available from http://jose-chess.sourceforge.net/index_download.html As usual, there are downloads for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X. What's New ? ------------ * Lots of UI fixes for Mac OS X. (Windows and Linux users won't notice many differences). * The new HIARCS for Mac engine runs pretty well with jose. * Polish translation, thanks to Tomasz Sokol. * Big change under the hood: the database engine (MySQL 4.1.9) is more closely integrated into the application. Users should't notice this at all, except for improved performance and (hopefully) stability. Have Fun, -- Peter note: if you're using the "Online Update" feature and it finishes with and error message, don't worry. Look for the file "jose-135-update.zip" and unzip it - it's fairly easy.
