Hi Kurt, of course - this has to do with Zappa and "his" uci protocol :-) Zappa awaits the number for tb cache in bytes and not in MB set_option(): tbcache = 4194304 (4M) So tb cache is inside set to 0 when chessbase sends the number 4. In chessbase there is a solution if you want to use tbs, inside Shredder9uci not, inside Arena I dont know. And the solution of these problems has to make Anthony of course. Werner
