I'd rather ask what happens if you give Shredder a bit longer time for each move. Even an hour, for an important move, we would see if Shredder is really really great or not. If it is true that Shredder 9 increases strength greatly, per ply, then Shredder might really be great. And THAT, over the counter? if so, we have everything, because we can always leave it on for an hour to see what move it comes up with. S.Taylor
