Assuming you are open to suggestions.
I think the entrance fee of $40 is too much.

My reasons (may not be so reasonable), why 40 is too much:

1) It's cheaper to get a six-months ICC membership, with which you can play as
many GM you want with your computer acccount everyday. If playing against a GM
in a competitive environment is an incentive for computer operator to fork out
40 bucks for this tournament; it's not enough. In ICC, I believe some GMs will
play against your computer in standard time control for less than 10 bucks.

2) Titled players are exempt from the entrance fee. Understandable, since the
idea is to promote more perticipation of titled players. Not understandable
since his/her opponent (if a computer) is forking out 40 bucks to play him/her.
Even more undesirable if he doesn't even get to play a titled player in the
tournament, because of the seeding.

3) The one with the fastest computer is most likely to win the tournament.

4) You have a prize distribution, preety hefty I should add; even though it is
'Subject to change based on participation', it is unreasonably high esp. since
you don't even have any assurance of any kind of the number of perticipants.

Don't get me wrong, I would LOVE to see this tournament work out, and with lotsa
perticipants. Even though I would like to be proved wrong, I don't see how this
tournament will work out, with that price tag and the price distribution. ($600
for the first prize titled winner? what the hell!!) :)

So, I am hoping to help you out with some suggestion, and others might add too:

1) Get a sponser. Whoever. When someone will enter a tournament, especially when
paying for it, he needs to know the prize money, whatever the number is.
Not something fictional, which is based on perticipants.

2) Lower the entrance fee. It's a first time tournament of this kind in ICC, it
doesn't have to be grand bonanza. Suggesting 15-20 bucks entrance fee. When you
have more participants, the entrance fees are gonna add up to something
sizeable.
In return you are likely to have more perticipants. More fun tournament. May not
have a 600$ prize for the first place titled winner. But I think it's gonna be
reasonably better than what 40$ entrance fee might give you.

Now, you can all throw flames at me, but I think I am just gonna go to bed. :)

Good luck peter.

ps, I use to organize local cricket tournaments when I was 18; so I do have some
hands-on experience on organizing something. :)
