So, from somebody who truly is amazed is everytime he does wake up and says to his better half "honey, I'm still here, I'm still kicking ..." ...I get on average 6 hours a sleep, but there is a range where I can go several days on 2/3 hours (generally around a full moon) to 10 hours (right after several days of 2/3 hours sleep). I don't know why my body reacts to the moon the way it does, but there seems to be a reason why my wife calls me "looney" ;>) Ask any cop about having the graveyard shift during full moon, and they will have some stories for you.
