In Glaurung, I have switched to PVS, for two different reasons. The first and most important is that MTD(f) does not perform well without a big hash table, which is a serious problem because I hope to port Glaurung to handheld devices. The second reason is that I wanted to learn something new. Trying out different search algorithms in practise is a much better way to learn than to just read about them. Tord
