After a speculative approach to friend and his soldering iron my Designer 2265 emerged from the operating table alive and well! I almost binned it after being told that the relevant spare parts hadn't been seen in the civilised world since the 1990's. Phew!! Anyway. I thought I should put it the test so decided on Chess Tiger - Tungsten T. Not optimised (my word, I've learned some posh stuff 'ere) for the ARM processor thingy it runs slower on the TT than on my older Sony SL10!? If I get this right you may get to see some diagrams even! So. By move 21 they both agreed that CT was +400 but I played on until -999 from the Fidelity. I'm not a great fan of computer - computer games as they don't seem to flow like games between humans or human v computer with similar ratings. I think this one falls into that category. I may replay this with Tiger set to "Anti-Human" or just reverse colours. I intend a second game anyway. Even though I love the old dedicated machines I have to say that the Palm Tungsten with Tiger, Genius and HIARCS installed is a fantastic device. Thanks for listening and regards from the UK. Ray.
