Strange that none of my programs saw Rc7 (or Rb7, which is what I thought up so that I could aim for this formation): [D]8/1R3p1k/5p2/P5pp/7r/1K2P3/8/8 b - - [D]8/1R3p1k/5p2/P5pp/4r3/1K2P3/8/8 w - - [D]8/1R3p1k/P4p2/6pp/4r3/1K2P3/8/8 b - - [D]4r3/1R3p1k/P4p2/6pp/8/1K2P3/8/8 w - - [D]r7/PR3p1k/5p2/6pp/8/1K2P3/8/8 b - - But I think that black still wins that race. That might be why the programs always play Rxf7 in analysis. I am running several programs at longer time control. I can't see how white can win with Rc7, but I lack imagination sometimes.
