good to hear that, please post some games ;-)

In fact, Anaconda (and it's predecessor Gromit) have a static mate-in-1
recognizer. It's expensive, so it is not used everywhere in the tree.
I'm not sure if it really adds playing strength at longer timecontrols,
but the code was pretty hard to write and debug, so I won't throw it away now
that it's working....
