Thanks for the hint. There is some auto232 code around. For instance, here: http://remi.coulom.free.fr/ and here: http://home.t-online.de/home/EBoerger/some%20sources/ and here: http://www.tim-mann.org/xboard/xboard232.tar.gz I think Thomas Mayer was doing something for Auto232, but maybe I am hallucinating.
