There are SSDF files here:
ftp://cap.connx.com/pub/Contrib/SSDF/

I sometimes have trouble reading the original files.

The files:
ftp://cap.connx.com/pub/Contrib/SSDF/ssdf.pgn.bz2
and
ftp://cap.connx.com/pub/Contrib/SSDF/ssdf-stripped.pgn.bz2

Are SSDF games filtered for duplicates, ECO classified, etc.
The ssdf-stripped.pgn.bz2 file has all of the comments removed.

The filtered files could have actual duplicate games removed (e.g. played the
exact same PGN moves over and over).

There are some problems in the game files (16 at least that I know of) which are
all either illegal moves or header results that do not match.
