AMD 32 Bit chips do not support SSE2 instructions. For example the AMD XP 3000+
I have supports SSE and 3DNOW instructions and if you run a program compiled
with SSE2 it will give a invalid instruction error. The opteron is a 64 bit chip
as is the AMD 64 chips and these both support the SSE2 instructions.
