Hi Michael, glad to see point (3). I simply want you to know, that I am already creating a new protocol TMCI using it in Smirf. See my (unready) proposal at http://www.chessbox.de/beta.html . The most interesting thing is (in my opinion) not to use STDOUT and STDIN but to supply SIMPLY ONE entry within a DLL. Another idea is that a GUI has no need to understand or create moves itself. That task should be delegated to a (verified third) engine. Reinhard.
