Well, there's more than one way, as you might imagine.  My way is the first try,
simple way that I haven't gotten around to changing. So it might work for you.

Get a large file of master games in pgn, and write a little code to read them,
sort by move, and store in memory.  Then you've got a bunch of openings, with
different variations, that you can select either at random (for each new choice
of move) or some other method.
