By small engines I meant lower rated engines rather than those playing on a Master level. I am in the process of running tournement on all engines rated 1800 or less. When that is done I will run the 1800-2000 rated engines. That is all of those that I can find and download for free. Hope this clears up the matter. Bill P.S. I am also going to run a tournement with engines created in BASIC whether they are compiled or not as my own engine is compiled basic. The smallest chess engine that I have written in basic is only about 4k and it runs on an old Radio Shack Model 100 laptop.
