I was wondering whether there is any difference in the performance of a deep engine compared to the normal engine on a single processor? Does the deep engine sometimes have extra knowledge etc? Looking at the SSDF, Deep Fritz 8 is above Fritz 8, while Junior 8 is above Deep Junior 8 - is this just because of the statistical + & - ?
