Hi Joel,
Had a feeling you were up to something. You've been quiet... too quiet.
:-)

I'm rewriting too...
It seems, you get to a point where you just don't want to look at the old code
any more, and besides, to add some neat feature efficiently requires a
fundamental re-design. Old TRACE was nearly 14,000 lines and stubbornly
resisting change...

Interesting that you chose to swap protocols. I think for ICS, Winboard is more
reliable than Arena (for now). And Fabien's Polyglot should allow your new
engine to run under WB, though I haven't tried it.

Tell us a little more about new Bodo. Is it still bitboard? Are you gearing up
to convert to a 64bit compiler? How does it compare with old Bodo? ;-)

Sorry to be no help with Arena. I tested with it last year for NC3 but it had
some definite problems. Maybe 1.1 addresses these? Surely someone somewhere is
using Arena for ICS who can help..., otherwise, give WB and Polyglot a try.

Cheers for now,

Ross
