Regarding time odds, it seems to already be possible simply by sending the
engines different levels. In fact, I think it's even possible in WB and UCI as
long as the GUI is handling it.

If you mean that the engine should be *aware* of the time odds, then the level
command could be extended as:

level white ...
level black ...

Thanks for this clarification. Overall, I'm trying to gauge what
ideas/syntax/etc seem most popular. My role as a facilitator in this is kind of
funny, though, since my own engine and gui have been "futureware" for a while
now. (Having a relatively new 3-month old baby is also not speeding things along
:)
