Hi Mike,

I forgot the password to this forum but in the old emails I luckily found it now
again.. :)

First of all: congrats to you too for finally getting the ole' Rolls-Royce of
the dedicated 'puters!

>Which Model?

R30 v2.5 with SB 20 and SB 30.

>When was it acquired?

February 2004

>Are you the original owner?

Nope.

>How often do you play it?

Half time per month. (Well, actually it's more 1-2 times in 2-3 months :) ).

>How long do you plan to keep it or how did you keep it?

What a question! :) I'd never ever part with it.

>Do you have a favorite game played against it or played by the Tasc R30?

Ha! My favourite question of your little questionnaire. :))

Actually it's the very first game I played against the machine. Ruud Martin came
into my office (I bought the unit from him) and we started checking the
functionality of the computer and so I began a little game on the default
setting (10s/move) at the same time chatting with Ruud about his Resurrection
plans (the name wasn't born yet) and of course also chess computers in general.
It won't surprise you that I expected to get filleted (or is gutted the right
word? Eh...anyway. You probably got the point...:)) very quickly. But somehow my
position got better and better... and my concentration got more and more
distracted by the game... so finally... well, see yourself. :)

So hey, I even have a very respectable witness for that occurrence. :)

Mega Bragging Regards,

P.S. Of course after that game the R30 started a cruel long vendetta. But since
this forum is not even r-rated, I better don't go into details about that one...
;(
