UCI - if you're mostly interested in analysis. CB - if you're mostly interested in database/opening book operations. If your interest is a mixture of those two, then flip a coin! I bought the UCI and am happy with it, but must still use the database operations from Shredder 8! I can't get along without the versatile CB database system. The UCI version is primitive databasewise (only handles the old .cbf and .pgn, not .cbh/.cbg), otherwise it's good. I like the UCI analysis features better than CB. WP
