I do not know what your program does, but here is something I have thought would be nice: 1. Figure out what the overall win/loss/draw ratios are... 2. For each move figure out (on average) if it underperforms or overperforms, along with a confidence figure. So (for instance) suppose that for some position, we see a given won/loss/drawn performance. We could compare the overall won/loss/draw with the actual Elo values of persons playing the move and compare how they should have scored with how they actually scored. In broad terms, if Kasparov, Anand, and Shredder get bad scores as white against inferior opponents, then the move stinks. If Crafty beats Shredder, Waitkin beats Anand, and Gelfand beats Kasparov as black, then it's a great move. If we could statistically analyze a PGN file and then mark it up with Nags, that would be peachy-creamy with a cherry on top.
