This is what I do.
Download all the gm games from this site
ftp://136.142.185.47/group/student-activities/chess/PGN/Players/
Unzip them in one directory.
Use this batch file.

for %%f IN (*.PGN) DO type %%f>>collect.out
ren collect.out collect.pgn
----------------
copy&paste in notepad and save as "pgn.bat"
Make sure all the pgn games and the 'pgn.bat' file is on the same directory.
Run 'pgn.bat' and it will save all the pgn games as 'collect.pgn'.
My pgn file size is "106 MB (111,731,227 bytes)"
