I'm not sure I understand your post.  I assume you are right that the tablebases
will lead you to a draw when a longer mate may lead to a win without violating
the 50 move rule but how do you find that mate?  The tablebases don't provide
the answer and programs cannot see deep enough to do it either.  So for
practical purposes I guess you have to accept the draw by the 50 move rule.
Maybe in computer vs computer games the 50 move rule should be ignored?
