not really rare at all
Fidelity released the SC in several versions ,the only difference being the
clock speed

sc12-3 Mhz
sc12B-4 Mhz
SE-12 (Special Edition)-3.6 Mhz
Sx12-5 Mhz

the SC12 and sc12b were the most commonly sold with the sx12 the most rare

in Europe there was the Granit "s" which was an SC12 running on 8 Mhz

the "Buy it now" price is high,but the seller mentions he has the original box
