64 bit Crafty will not run on Xeons. 64 bit Crafty will run on the Opteron in
you have a 64 bit oS. The current beta MS Win xp x64 edition is currently free
and it not expire for one year. 64 bit Crafty runs 33% faster in 64 bit mode as
compared to 32 bit Crafty on the same Opteron machine Opteron.

By ther design , Opterons are much more efficient than Xeon chips per Ghz for
Crafty .

Xeons will run Crafty32 near 375Knps/Ghz
Opterons will run Crafty32 near 750Knps/Ghz
Opterons will run Crafty64 near 1000Knps/Ghz

So a dual 846 Opteron (2.0 Ghz) will run Crafty near 4M nps.

The command is "bench" to run the Crafty Benchmark ( at the command prompt).

Let me know (via email) when have the 64 bit MS OS installed and I will send you
Crafty 64 for Windows 64.
