They are in the basement of my parent's house. I used them many years ago when I first got into computer chess. There was an ACM event held here in Edmonton in 1986, and I had both units for about 1 year previous to that. I honestly do not remember the names of them at all (it has been well over 10 years that I have even seen them). Both were gifts from my grandfather one year for Christmas. My mother assures me they are still in the basement in my chest. (Big blue thing I made in high school shop class. It would survive a nuclear attack :)) I have been meaning to go and gig them out, as I know both are in mint shape, and have all materials (book, pieces, adapters). I was going to see what I could get for them on ebay, but since I don't need the money I would be willing to give them to someone who could put them to good use. Now that I have kids at home, and they seem to destroy almost everything in their path (don't they always seem to do that?) it is not really an option to keep relics like those areound them. I was just out there on Friday as well and never thought about them. I was helping my dad with paperwork and the selection of a walker. Since his stroke in January he is extremely wobbly on his feet, as his balance is out of whack. Imagine a 6'6" 290lbs man using a walker meant for a person 1 foot smaller and forgetting to use the brake unit when he hit the hard wood floor.. if it wasn't for the big screen tv, he would have went right through the wall.
