Now I see what the seller was saying.  You can look at his answer both ways, and
I only read it a single way.

He said "vertical squares are labeled 1-8".  By that I took it to mean that the
vertical coordinate was 1-8, which would be the correct way.  However, I think
he meant that the squares vertically up from the horizontal coordinates, from
the bottom, are labelled 1-8.

Not as confused as before regards,
