This because we are really out to see what a micro can do. To say that Hiarcs shouldn't have a special opening book is unfair, when the GM will have prepared special opening book himself against Hiarcs. Further it is unfair to say hiarcs shouldn't prepare against the specific opponent, when the opponent will prepare specifically for hiarcs. If we did it your way, Hiarcs might lose, and you would have never discovered that a micro is indeed capable of defeating a GM. Hiarcs could be playing GM STRENGTH chess but still be beaten, because it was prepared against by the GM, at which point everyone would be saying because it lost this means it wasn't GM strength, which is a fallacy to make. This because you can lose and still be GM strength. > >On February 01, 1999 at 00:22:51, Reynolds Takata wrote: > >>On January 31, 1999 at 22:52:05, Matt Frank wrote: > >>I believe that the most Important thing in the match is that Uniacke prepare a >>SPECIFIC book for the SPECIFIC opponent.
