Hi Jouni,

the Fritz GUI UCI Interface does behave a little unexpected for us. We had some
problem to get Spike run smoothely with Fritz. In my tests with Fritz 8 GUI
there is a litte time before the Fritz GUI shows the PV and thinking lines of
Spike, but much less than 3-5 sec (more 1 at most 2 sec.). It depends a little
on the GUI output of Fritz. If Fritz-GUI is moving it´s positional-score graph
to the left, the amount of time to display Spikes results increases a litte.

All this has "not much" effect on the playing strength of spike. Spike does
immediatly start to search and supports even very short time controls (bullet).
"Not much" means that in blitz any UCI-Engine has a little processor-time
disadvantage compared to engines that uses the native interface.

If you read this answer, please let us know witch version of Fritz you use and
what processor you have got (maybe a slower processor will take more time?).

Greetings Volker
