Hi,
in another game between Shredder 9 and Gandalf 6.01 the following position came
up:
[D]r1b1r1k1/1pn1qnbp/3p1pp1/pPp5/2PNPPP1/P1N1B1R1/3QB2P/3R3K w - - 0 21
Shredder played 21.Nf5! here with a rather convincing score of +2.47. Finding
the move after just 2 seconds (!).
Any other engine going for this sacrifice?
Another very nice position comes up a few moves later...
[D]r1b1r2k/1p3nbp/nP1p1p2/p1pN1P2/2P1qP2/P3BBR1/3Q3P/3R3K b - - 1 25
A lot of engines like 25...Qxc4 (Gandalf played 25...Bxf5) here with a rather
neutral score. But white's continuation after Qxc4 is just worth seeing.
After 26.Rxg7! black is completely lost. 26...Kxg7 27.Rg1+ Ng5 28.Qb2 Rf8
29.Rxg5 to just give one example.
Here's the original game:
