Looks like a positional sacrifice to me. I examined the position a little with my engine and it couldn't find material gain even after playing through a couple of moves beyond that point. I really doubt that Shredder sees material gain in that position after 2 seconds. I think it is a really great job by any engine that finds that move in under a minute.
