>Do you think it will get over $1,703, which somebody else bid a couple of months >ago on a Phantom Eyeball? :)) i never did like to bid early on an auction just look at whats happening here the lead bidder placed his bid with a max and someone else has all the time in the world to chip away at it whose to say if this lead bid was not placed that the second bidder would have placed his own max bid much lower? also,the second bidder probably got emotional about this and just pushed higher and higher to see how high the lead would go i always bid at the closing seconds of course the price is the most important part of the bid but i find,overall that bidding late is best others do think differently about this though.. never pays to get too emotional over chess computers Best Steve
